Black Belt Service Project:

Collected 570 lbs of food for local food bank (May 2007)

Why this Project:

"Kids and families should not go hungry because they are poor, so this was a way for me to help a lot of people at once."

About this Project:

"We got a lot of attention for the drive just by hanging posters in the school and by word of mouth. Everyone pitched in once they knew what it was for."

Favorite Taekwondo Benefits:

"I already had confidence and courage but training gave me more! I like helping other women become safer by teaching them self-defense skills. Plus it's fun pounding the guy in the 'red man suit' (protective gear worn by simulated attacker in full contact SHARP training)."

About your Instructor:

"Mr. C has taught me so much and I am proud and honored to pass his lessons on to other students. He is passionate about helping people and I respect that a great deal."
